Today it’s World Ranger Day, and I think that we should remember all the brave people who risk their life to save animals from being killed because some of these courageous persons get injured and killed while they are doing their job. Poachers shoot Rangers so that they can kill for instance rhinos and elephants. About three rhinos/day and 96 elephants/day get killed in Africa every year because the demand for the ivory and rhino horn is high in Thailand, China, and Vietnam. People in those countries believe that tusks…read more

One week in July each year there is a week called “Motor Week” in the small town where I live. During this week several associations have organized for instance a competition in watercross. They also get prizes for the one who is best at doing a burnout, meaning the vehicle stands still, and the driver makes the wheels spin at a high frequency, so it causes a big amount of smoke. A car cruising also takes place in the city center. These are just a few of all the activities…read more

Un Village Français I’ve just watched “Un Village Français” or “A French Village” as it’s called in English. It’s a French television drama series that takes place during the Second World War. The story is about how the German military occupies the fictional village Villeneuve, and soon they take control over the French people who lives there; then they start to arrest Jews. Some of the French citizens in Villeneuve join a resistance movement since they believe it’s unfair and wrong what the Germans do to them. They fight for…read more

Is Soy Healthy?

Posted by in Vegan lifestyle

Is soy healthy or not? There has been a lot of talk about soy, the question is, is soy healthy or not? So I want to tell you the truth about this food. Studies have shown that it is only when you consume an extreme amount of soy each day for an extended period of time that it is unhealthy. Each person in these studies ate 12-14 servings of soy per day, and that measure up to 30-35 deciliter soy milk per day. So it’s only when you have an…read more

It’s plain madness when teenagers use hedgehogs as soccer balls I think it’s horrible when people don’t show compassion for animals. Honestly, I can’t understand what some parents are teaching their children since I read that teenage boys use hedgehogs as soccer balls! Here in Sweden many hedgehogs get abused each summer, people kick them around, using them like a ball, and sometimes they get stabbed with a knife. Sometimes the hedgehogs are so severely abused that they can’t be saved by the associations who rescues hedgehogs, and some are…read more

People commit suicide because of bullying I came across some articles about suicide, and here in Sweden, it is 45 children and 100-300 adults that commit suicide each year because they have been bullied/ treated badly. And if you think globally those numbers are much higher. All these people do it because people don’t show them compassion. No one bothers to hear their cries for help. The bullies and other people that have jobs where they can exercise their power over others don’t care about anyone but themselves. And individuals…read more

Is Milk Healthy?

Posted by in Vegan lifestyle

Is milk healthy for you? One thing that parents believe they do right is to give their child a glass of milk every day. That is one of the strongest nutritional messages during the last century, that milk is healthy for humans and that you need it for strong bones and to grow better but that is wrong. A study in Sweden shows that women who drink more than three glasses of milk per day had almost twice the mortality over 20 years than those women who drank less than…read more

Dr. Spock recommends a vegan diet for children Benjamin Spock M.D., the author of “Dr. Spock’s Baby and Child Care”, recommended a vegan diet for children already back in 1998. Because optimal foods for kids are; fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes, and grains. These foods are rich in for instance minerals, fiber, vitamins, and protein, and they support great health for the rest of your life. Research has shown that those who eat vegetables and fruits as adults are the ones who also ate it during childhood. It’s great for kids…read more
