Monday of the Holy Spirit

Posted by in Vegan lifestyle

Today it’s Penecost Monday/ Whit Monday but it can also be called Monday of the Holy Spirit. To me, it seems like Pentecost/ Whitsunday was celebrated more here in Sweden when I was a kid growing up than nowadays. This day was even a red day back then but now it stopped being that for over a decade ago. Christians celebrate the Holy Spirit during Pentecost/ Whitsunday, it’s in memory of when the Holy Spirit came down upon the apostles. It’s also the birthday of the church. The Dove is…read more

Jesus showed Compassion for All

Posted by in Vegan lifestyle

Since it’s been Easter and still is, I have been thinking about how many people there are in this world who say one thing and do another. Jesus showed compassion for all living beings but during my lifetime I haven’t experienced that the people who celebrate Easter and Christmas and other Christian holidays do that. Most of the people I’ve met in my life and people I know do not follow what Jesus taught although they celebrate Jesus during Christian holidays. Individuals who behave evilly towards others aren’t happy people…read more

Why do Swedes Celebrate Cinnamon Bun Day?

Posted by in Vegan lifestyle

I started to think about why Swedes celebrate that day when I heard people talking about it when I went to the grocery store last week, and I wondered why the World Animal Day isn’t celebrated here. The Home Baking Council in Sweden invented the Cinnamon Bun Day in 1999 to celebrate home-baking. So every year on October 4 Swedes celebrate the Cinnamon Bun Day. The reason why they chose that date is that they didn’t want it to collide with any other theme days for food. They apparently didn’t…read more

Why don’t People Wake Up?

Posted by in Vegan lifestyle

Unfortunately, the hunting season is here now. I hate it because I feel sorry for all the animals that get killed. Why don’t people wake up? Why can’t they realize that killing animals is wrong? I can’t understand how they think it’s fun to shoot another living being. I don’t think that slaughter is game management I remember when I trained to become an animal keeper, how one was forced to take part in the moose hunt. That year I turned 17 years old. The teachers had made it clear…read more

I Highly Recommend Reading “The World Peace Diet”!

Posted by in Vegan lifestyle

Dr. Tuttle talks about the benefits of a vegan lifestyle I have recently finished listening to an excellent audiobook, “The World Peace Diet”, by Will Tuttle, Ph.D. Dr. Tuttle talks about how we all can make the world a better place by adopting a vegan lifestyle. There are lots of benefits with eating a plant-based diet. The biggest one is that millions of animals can be saved if all become vegans. It’s also better for the environment since the agriculture pollutes the environment, and it’s also the reason why thousands…read more
